I have long felt it to be not only a privilege but a duty...

I have long felt it to be not only a privilege but a duty to give the testimony of my healing. It is about nine years since Christian Science first came to my notice, at a time when I was a wreck, mentally and physically. I was suffering from a complication of diseases, which were pronounced incurable by no less than five regular physicians. When I was treated for one trouble it aggravated the others; I was even afraid to eat food prepared with my own hands. I had Christian Science treatment given me, and the practitioner also asked me to study the text-book, Science and Health, which I commenced to do. I was healed of severe and dangerous bowel trouble, and of chronic throat trouble. I had not been able to eat any solid food for many years, and for eight years I could not walk without a supporter or truss. I will not mention any of the other ailments which have been overcome, but it will be seen that I have much to be grateful for.

Words fail to express my gratitude. It is only by letting my light so shine that some other sufferer may be benefited, that I can do so. My greatest desire is to know God aright. I am indeed grateful to our revered Leader, and to God who is our Life. I am humbly striving to live this grand truth.

Mrs. Jennie P. Van Giesen, Marshall, Mich.
