Over seven years ago I came to Christian Science for healing from a dreaded fever, and was healed at the one visit of the practitioner. Since then I have received many physical benefits, for which I am very thankful and feel that an acknowledgment of them is proper; but the understanding of the Bible which I have gained is far more to me than the physical healing. Before reading "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, my Bible was very seldom read, because I could not understand it. I tried to believe that if I lived a good life here, its promises and blessings would be realized by me after death; still I was afraid of death, and what I thought might follow.

Christian Science has cleared up all my doubts and fear of death. It has shown me that God can be understood here and now, and that I do not have to die to realize the promises of the Bible, because God, the giver of all good, is good now, and ever will be. I am thankful to God for my healing in Christian Science, and grateful for having had it proved true to me. I cannot express the gratitude I feel to Mrs. Eddy for giving us Science and Health.
