I gladly give my testimony to all the benefits received...
I gladly give my testimony to all the benefits received from Christian Science. I was unable to use my right arm and had great pain day and night, and the doctors could give me no relief. A Christian Science practitioner was then recommended to me, and in the first treatment I found relief and was quickly healed, for which I am very thankful. Since that time Christian Science has been our only physician. My youngest child, ten years of age, has never tasted medicine. Before I had learned to speak or read English my progress in the understanding of Christian Science was very slow. When I began to read Science and Health not a word could I understand, and it seemed at first impossible to make any progress, but I then heard of a Danish lady who had learned to read English by studying this wonderful book, and this gave me hope and courage to press forward. To-day I can read all the Christian Science literature, for which I am very thankful. Moreover, my mental condition had become much darkened; I had no hope, and was "without God in the world." Life seemed a burden, but again Christian Science was shown to be the true helper. Evil was seen to be powerless; instead of discord, peace and harmony were obtained. The blessings received, especially in the last year, are more than I can tell.
I am more than thankful for having been helped through many experiences, and to Mrs. Eddy for this revelation. I thank God more and more. His is the power and the glory forever.—Mariane N. Hansen, Chicago, Ill.
