As I read in the Sentinel the many grateful testimonies from California, I feel rebuked, because not one of those who have given testimony has more to be thankful for than have I. I was healed by Christian Science after all plans had been made for my going to a hospital for an operation. I was then advised to call upon a Christian Science practitioner and try to follow her instructions. Although having only faith enough to go to her, I was perfectly healed after a few weeks and have been able to work with less physical discord than ever before. My gratitude to God, and to our dear Leader, for my freedom from bondage I can only express by working more faithfully to bring to others this healing truth, the truth about God and man. My healing was certainly beautiful, and although I sought only the physical relief, I received also a spiritual uplifting such as I had never before experienced. The study of the Bible with Science and Health has revealed to me a God who does not afflict; it has given me a practical religion, and has brought into my life more happiness than I ever before knew. I owe all that I am to the slight knowledge I have gained of the true God, as made known to us in Science and Health.—Mrs. Ida Judd Gamwell, Chester, Mass.
