I wish to bring to the altar a tithe of the blessings I...

I wish to bring to the altar a tithe of the blessings I have received from the faithful study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and from an earnest striving to practise scientific Christianity as it is so ably explained in the Bible and our text-book. After nine years of this study and proof I am persuaded beyond question that all things are possible to God, and all things are also possible to those who believe—who trust in God. This may seem impossible to the worldly-wise, but let them lay down their preconceived notions and former teachings, and begin at the alphabet of the law of Love, and soon they will be surprised to see how easily divine Love is to be entreated. The Bible says, "Seek, and ye shall find." I have proved and witnessed the power of right thinking to overcome wrong thinking and its effects. I have been wholly restored from a multitude of very tenacious evils, manifested in chronic disease of the stomach, bowels, kidneys, liver, and heart. I also had female trouble and a catarrhal affection. Now I enjoy the buoyant health of childhood. An old acquaintance, who had antagonized Christian Science (and also me for my adherence to its teachings), met me not long since and asked for some of the literature to read, saying that I looked ten years younger than I did eight years ago. Eighteen years would carry me back into youth's "Elysian fields," and Christian Science had wrought this most wonderful transformation. At last I can say, with Job, "I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear; but now mine eye seeth thee." And should I not love our dear, patient Leader, through whom these blessings have come to me? I am striving daily to love and obey God, good, and as I succeed in doing this I shall show my gratitude to her.
