I became interested in Christian Science a little over two...
I became interested in Christian Science a little over two years ago through the healing of my daughter. Through the understanding of this truth I have had a good many demonstrations. of one of which I should like to tell. For several years I had not been able to pick a certain flower without my hands becoming seemingly poisoned; in fact, I always wore gloves when picking them. After coming into Christian Science I went out one day to gather some, and as I stood looking at them the thought came to me, How can a beautiful flower like this have poison in it? Then I realized that it had not, for God never made poison. This time I experienced only a slight feeling of irritation, and after that I was entirely free from this trouble. I am very grateful for Christian Science, because of what it has done and is doing for me, and my sincere desire is to help others.
Mrs. Emma Skinner, Toledo, O.
It is only just that I openly acknowledge some of the blessings received since coming into Christian Science. When it came to me I was in great need physically, but in much greater need spiritually, though I did not realize it at the time. A few weeks ago while sewing I injured a finger severely. I immediately began to declare the truth, and in less than an hour this finger had no more sensation of soreness than any of the others. On another occasion this experience of almost instantaneous healing occurred. My nephew came home from his work with a high fever and other alarming symptoms. He asked me to treat him, but he seemed so ill that I felt it the part of wisdom to telephone a practitioner. The healing began at once, and by the time he went to bed he seemed to be almost well. He got up very early the next morning, and went a distance of seventeen miles to his work, and that was the last we heard of the trouble. For all these blessings I am more than grateful to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who has taught us how to understand the Word which is the light of the world.
