I wish to add my testimony to the healing power of Christian Science. I was healed of several physical ailments, among which were severe stomach trouble, headaches, and a lame back which I thought I had inherited. At times I suffered terrible pains, so that I could not lift myself up, like the woman mentioned in the Gospels. I also suffered from my feet, and on account of eye trouble I wore two pairs of glasses. A friend told me of a wonderful healing in Christian Science, of which she knew. I then thought that if reading Science and Health had helped her, it would help me. The medicine which I had been taking two or three times a day was all thrown out, my blue glasses were laid away, and I began earnestly to study Science and Health and other Science literature. I kept my thought filled with its teachings, and in less than two months all these troubles had vanished into their native nothingness, showing that God is universal Love and is All in all, as our text-book declares. I have never taken any medicine since, nor have I had any use for my blue glasses. It is nearly seven years since I have had these proofs of the truth of Christian Science, and these all came through reading Science and Health and studying it with the Bible and Christian Science Quarterly. For this healings I am very grateful to God, and to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy.—Eliza Brown, Los Angeles, Cal.
