About five years ago I commenced to suffer with a severe complaint, which debilitated me. A physician was consulted, but he could not help me although he worked faithfully to do so. The next physician gave me little medicine and advised me to be out in the open air, go to the theater, and keep my mind off my own condition as much as possible. Another physician was employed, but none of them healed me. I was in a bad condition until August, 1902, when I heard of Christian Science and was taken to a practitioner. I was using a cane at the time, and my limbs were so weak that I could not stand alone, while I was unable to use my right hand and wrote with my left. Gradually I got better under Christian Science treatment, and about a year later I stopped using my cane entirely and have never had any use for it since. I commenced to use my right hand and helped to translate the tract "Healing the Sick" by E. M. Buswell. My improvement was steady, even if slow, and I am very grateful for Christian Science. I realize that it will destroy all the ills in my experience. I love Mrs. Eddy for the precious truth she has given us, and appreciate all the help given me by the Christian Science church of this city, and it gives me pleasure thus to testify that I owe my life and my increasing sense of health and harmony to Christian Science.
