With a heart overflowing with love and gratitude I give...
With a heart overflowing with love and gratitude I give my testimony of healing through the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. Truth and Love had been preparing me for some time, leading me unconsciously to Christian Science. It had been my custom to take many books from our city library, always with the thought of knowing the true meaning of life, and it was there that I secured a copy of Science and Health. At that time I knew nothing of Christian Science, but I had not read in its text-book more than fifteen minutes when I was healed of sorrow. My physical healing followed very closely after. I was healed of catarrhal and rheumatic trouble, also of extreme nervousness. Besides this physical healing, I was healed morally and spiritually. The study of the text-book taught me the purity and uprightness of true living; it gave me in a measure the true understanding of the religion that Christ Jesus taught, lived, and practised,—healing the sick and regenerating the sinner. It is now six years since I began this study, and with one exception Science and Health has been my only practitioner. I have seen all manner of diseases healed through Christian Science, and since my own healing eight relatives have been healed and are now working in this blessed Christ-truth.
My love and gratitude to God is indeed great, and no words can express the depth of gratitude I feel for our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy. I am continually striving to live this truth,—striving to be obedient to our Leader's wise and loving counsel; to realize Christ Jesus' words and works,—"By their fruits ye shall know them,"—the example upon which Christian Science is founded.
Mrs. Minnie Marion Collins, Springfield, Mass.
