I cannot tell how grateful I am for what God has done for me through Christian Science. Two years ago last January we went to New York and asked for help from a Christian Science practitioner there. She told me that God is as able and willing to heal now as in Jesus' time, and this thought greatly uplifted me. I had seven weeks' treatment and was healed, and am glad to say that I have not used any material remedy since. I had suffered for sixteen years with severe stomach and bowel trouble, and it seemed as though there was no help for me, but what materia medica had failed to do in sixteen years, the truth accomplished in seven weeks. I was also healed of neuralgic trouble of five years' standing, and from throat trouble of two years, and I laid aside glasses which I had worn for six years. I can truthfully say I have found a Saviour who is always near, and is true to his promise, "Lo, I am with you alway." To God first do I render thanks, then to our dear, faithful Leader, Mrs. Eddy, through whose teachings I have been awakened from the dream of error. Only those who have been led from the darkness of materiality to the light of Truth, can understand how grateful I feel.
