For the encouragement of those who think it difficult to understand the teaching of Christian Science, I would say that "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy was put into my hands in an hour of sore need, when all material remedies had failed to bring healing. I had not previously heard anything of Christian Science, but after one day's reading of the book, while it seemed as Greek to me, so far as understanding it was concerned, I knew it taught the truth, and the second day I purchased a copy. Through the faithful study of this book, the Bible promises were unfolded to me as a present help. I saw that now is the day of salvation, and as I learned the full meaning of the word from our text-book (p. 593), I applied these teachings day by day, and the healing came. God alone was my help. I have had fifteen years of this blessed truth, and to-day the physical healing seems at times lost sight of in the spiritual unfolding, the rest, and peace.

My loyalty and gratitude to our dear Leader has never wavered; every command of hers has been cheerfully obeyed, and then the wisdom of the counsel and the command has been clearly shown me. God has abundantly blessed her labors, and to-day thousands of grateful hearts rise up and call her blessed.
