A CHRISTIAN LETTER

[The following letter to Mrs. Eddy expresses such loving consideration for her, and is characterized by such a profound Christian sentiment, that we take pleasure in giving it special prominence in our columns.—EDITOR.]

Chicago, Ill., Aug. 1, 1906.

Beloved Teacher:—I wrote you a letter from Ohio the other day. I do not know that you will see it, or this, but I would like very much to add a word and have you get it.

You have many times explained to me how in many ways the students have burdened your every day for years and years. Last night I shed many a tear when I thought of the unspeakable burdens that have been laid upon you by us all, and of the continuous sacrifice in which your association with us has involved you; and although it may be of no consolation to you, I want you to know that for any weight of care or sorrow that has ever been laid upon you by me, I am from the depths of my heart's affection sorry beyond description.

Lovingly your student,
Edward A. Kimball.
