When my attention was called to Christian Science I opposed it like a great many others, but after seeing a relative restored to good health and other members of our family being benefited by it, my wife became interested in its teachings. Finally, about two years ago, I became afflicted with a high fever, organic trouble, and weakness. I placed my case in charge of a Christian Science practitioner and soon regained health. At the same time I was relieved of all desire for tobacco, which I thought was impossible. During all my previous life I had indulged in the use of intoxicants. On two occasions since then I drank some wine, but now, I am glad to say, I have no desire whatever for these beverages. I see the nothingness of false appetites.

It is impossible to enumerate all the good things that Christian Science has brought to our home. I have a different view of the world since God has been proved good beyond all our expectations. For all the blessings received, and for a clear understanding of the truth, I am grateful to God, and to Mrs. Eddy.—Charles Lahmann, Dayton, O.
