Some time ago one of the references in our Lesson-Sermon was from the eighth chapter of Romans, "For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God" This verse repeated itself in my thought again and again, but I could make nothing more of it than if it had been an unknown language. A few days later I seemed to be very ill with the grip. This had been an old enemy, and had left me each time in a weak and miserable condition, sometimes for weeks. Help was asked form a practitioner, but it was several hours before she came to see what needed. During those hours the suffering seemed very great, when it suddenly dawned upon me that here was a creature earnestly awaiting "the manifestation of the sons of God, and I felt sure that the "manifestation" would come. None the less it was a great surprise that I should awaken the next morning as well and strong as if this illusion had not come near me.
How great and how blessed a privilege it is to know that we have the expectation of ultimate freedom form all conditions which were not created by infinite divine Love.
Marie S. Allen, El Paso, Tex.
