I thank God for Christian Science

I thank God for Christian Science. It has redeemed me from much suffering, both mental and physical. Many times I wished to die, not only because I suffered pain, but my cross was very heavy, until it seemed that I could bear it no longer. I needed help very much but I did not know where to look for it, and I gave up praying to a God I did not know. I had suffered from indigestion and neuralgia, also female weakness, for years. At last I had nervous prostration, from which I was in bed about three months. Doctors could not do me much good, for I could not find peace in pills. One day I said to my sister that I wished to talk to some minister, and she then spoke of Christian Science, as she had received some help about eight years before, but knew very little about it. God heard us, however, and prepared the way even while we were speaking. Christian Science was brought to me by my dear sister-in-law. Oh, can I ever be thankful enough. My sorrow was turned into joy, my troubles into peace. I was healed that day, now two years ago, and I have been a healthy woman since that time. I do all the work for five children, eat anything I want, and enjoy any kind of weather. My husband also took up Science and was healed of the tobacco and liquor habits. In our home is peace now and we have both joined First Church of Christ, Scientist, of Omaha. This is only a small part of what Christian Science has done for us, and is doing every day. God bless Mrs. Eddy, for without her words I would not be a happy, healthy woman to-day. I owe all to God and to Christian Science.
