I wish to express my gratitude to God for a recent evidence...
I wish to express my gratitude to God for a recent evidence of His healing power. I have been deeply interested in Christian Science for the past eight years, and during all that time I have been in very good health and have met very quickly whatever physical discords presented themselves. Recently, however, I had a greater test than ever before of my reliance upon God as the great Physician. My whole system seemed to manifest a condition of poisoning, and from my shoulders to my feet the external symptoms were alarming. My feet swelled and my whole body was so affected that I was nearly wild. I tried to meet it for myself the first night, but early the next morning I called for help, and a practitioner practitioner worked faithfully for two days, remaining at night to comfort me and to declare the truth. After a two-days struggle the enemy was cast out, and normal conditions were manifested, except that I was left very weak. At times I seemed liable to pass away from spells of weakness, but these, too, were conquered through Truth and all fear of them disappeared. When this trouble came upon me, my family, not having embraced Christian
Science, urged my calling a physician, but I clung to God in my hour of trial and He delivered me.
I spend many hours in meditation and study, and in praise to God for His many blessings. I am deeply grateful to dear Mrs. Eddy for her great work in bringing the Word of God more clearly to the consciousness of mankind.
Mrs. Clara Kelsh, Philadelphia, Pa.
