It is near six years since I was healed of asthma through the understanding of Christian Science. For seven years previous I had sought relief from the best physicians and specialists in the Middle States. I had been advised to go to California by a specialist who had been treating me for over a year. He stated that in that climate I might find relief, but nothing was definite. Truly man's extremity is God's opportunity. A lady who had been healed by Christian Science told me of this demonstrable truth which healeth all our diseases. Her words sounded to me like a fairy tale. I thanked her for her kindness, but declined an introduction to a practitioner. After this I grew rapidly worse. I could not lie down without a sense of smothering. For days and nights I fought for breath. At the end of four weeks I went to practitioner and at the first treatment I was much benefited. In less than three months I was perfectly healed. The spiritual awakening was much more to me than physical ease. My study of the Bible in connection with "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, has been a wonderful unfoldment to me. Through the understanding derived, I have been able to help others.
I am thankful to our beloved Leader for this wondrous light of truth. I shall try to show my gratitude by ever being an avenue for Truth and Love; in meekness and humility knowing that it is God who worketh in me to will and to do of His good pleasure.
Mary Morgan Jones, New London, Conn.
