The latter part of May, 1904, my mouth began to get...
The latter part of May, 1904, my mouth began to get sore, and I went to a dentist, but it continued to get worse, and in about three weeks I had to take to my bed. I could not open my mouth, and the only food I could take was milk through a quill. The jaw was lanced eleven times in all. I tried three dentists and four doctors, had two operations, and in January, 1905, my physician told me that the only way he could help me was by removing all of the jaw bone. After I had lost all my teeth on one side, had suffered nearly a year, and had spent a great deal of money, my sister told me of Christian Science and got me to write to a practitioner in Georgia, with the result that I was most wonderfully healed; and I shall never cease to thank God for this manifestation of divine Love. I am also thankful to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for her teachings.—J. C. Meriwether, Montgomery, Ala.
I wish to send an acknowledgment of what Christian Science has done for me. I had what was called very bad rectal trouble for a number of years, and I was healed by reading Science and Health. It would take pages to tell of the peace and contentment that this understanding gives.
I am thankful to divine Love for the beautiful unselfed life of our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, and also for all our very helpful literature.
