Another Prosecution Fails

The following news item, which we copy from The Toronto Daily Star, marks the close of another prosecution of Christian Scientists in the Canadian courts. The judges before whom the case finally came, have expressed themselves in no uncertain terms regarding the injustice of such proceedings, and it is to be hoped their words will have a restraining influence upon all those whose zeal borders upon persecution.

The Star says,—

"The four Christian Scientists accused of conspiracy to deprive the late Wallace Goodfellow of the necessities of life are free at last. The Court of Appeal this morning [January 22] gave judgment quashing the indictment and dealing a severe blow at the Crown for its manner of conducting the prosecution.
