With a grateful heart I tell of my experiences in Christian Science, hoping this may help to give new courage to some hopeless heart. For fifteen years I suffered from nervous disease and was often tormented with sciatic trouble, so that it was impossible for me to walk and I had to remain in bed. I suffered from sleeplessness and distressing headaches, so that I was unable to work. For five years I had been obliged to wear glasses to work, and as far back as I remember I suffered every winter from a cough. All these ills, I can truthfully say, have disappeared through the power of God as revealed in Christian Science. I now sleep well; I can work better without glasses than I could formerly with them; the headache has appeared only twice in the two years during which I have been attending the Christian Science meetings, and it has not hindered me in my work. When error presents itself I am able, through the understanding that man is made in the image and likeness of God, to overcome its attacks.
I desire to express my sincere gratitude to our faithful Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who has shown us the way to God.
Frau Wittmer, Zurich, Switzeraland.
