MRS. EDDY GIVES PROOF OF HER MENTAL VIGOR
Since Pleasant View, where eleven reporters had an interview with Mrs. Mary Baker Eddy on last Tuesday, has been closed to newspaper representatives forever, the few words which the Leader of Christian Science spoke on that occasion, and the opportunity to have seen her and to have observed her at close range, are made doubly significant and interesting.
Many have declared that Mrs. Eddy is without a vestige of mentality left; that she is bereft of her senses and is an absolute physical wreck.
Knowing the currency of such reports, I took occasion the more closely to scrutinize the remarkable woman, and I stepped up near the door where she stood during the interview, to see if such conditions really existed.
