AMONG THE CHURCHES

The pleasant little First Church of Christ, Scientist, Cotuit, Mass., was formally dedicated Sunday, Oct. 7, two services being held. The regular order of service was maintained. At the close of the Lesson-Sermon an address was delivered by Mrs. Caroline A. Parker, a former First Reader of this church.—The Barnstable (Mass.) Patriot.

The growth and prosperity of the Christian Science church of this city is shown by their new and attractive Reading Room on the second floor of the Ruffin Block, which was opened to the public yesterday. The increasing interest in the subject made it necessary to remove the Reading Room from its old quarters in the church on E Street to a more central location, within easy reach of strangers who are passing through the city as well as of permanent residents who are followers of Mrs. Eddy.
