I first heard of Christian Science in August, 1896. I took treatment for heart trouble and other ailments and was healed. I bought a copy of Science and Health, also the Quarterly, and began to study the Bible with them. I began to know what God is, to find Him a present help in every time of need. I had been a church member for over twenty years and tried to live up to its teachings, but I never was satisfied. At that time I could not see one ray of light. I often prayed to God to send some one to show us the true way, and at last I was led to find it. Although I have had trials Truth has prevailed and has rolled away the stone from my consciousness. We have had many beautiful demonstrations in our home, over fevers, colds, broken bones, etc. These were healed with the help of a practitioner and the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." My husband and myself read the Lesson-Sermon every Sunday, and a part of it every day. We are members of The Mother Church, and take the Journal and Sentinel. We have also all the works of our Leader, and appreciate them. I am growing stronger in the love of God, good, and in gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for having brought us Christian Science.
