Almost eight years have passed since I was healed through Christian Science. Prior to that time I was constantly under the doctor's care, and hardly knew what it was to be free from pain. My chief ailments were female weakness and bowel trouble. I had medical treatment all of one summer, at the end of which time we went West. I had not been there long before I had to go through an operation. I was again disappointed in finding that my health was not improved. I then went to a specialist, who treated me all of that summer. He told my husband that I was a very sick woman, and he did not have much hope of curing me, as I had lung trouble. In December we moved again, and it was not long before I was in a deplorable condition, hardly able to walk across the street without help. I really felt as if there was no hope for me.

At this time "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, was lent to me, and I had not read more than one third of it, which took me about two weeks, when I found myself perfectly well, and I have never had a return of any of those troubles since. I feel I owe all to Christian Science, and am thankful to God for giving us this truth through Mrs. Eddy. I should indeed be grateful when I think of the help it has also been to us financially. My healing through Christian Science did not cost me anything, as I was made well simply by reading Science and Health. When I was under medical care we spent between five and six hundred dollars for my treatment.

My daily desire is to be worthy of this healing, and I feel a great sense of love and gratitude to God and to our dear Leader for this blessed truth.
