REPORTERS AT PLEASANT VIEW

Local Editors See Mrs. Eddy Without Her Knowledge.

Concord Monitor

The city editor of the Monitor visited Pleasant View again at noon to-day [Nov. 1], without the knowledge of Mrs. Mary Baker Eddy but upon the invitation of members of her household.

He was accompanied by M. Meehan, editor of the Daily Patriot, and the two newspaper men stood in the hallway where they could see very plainly Mrs. Eddy as she descended the stairs from the first floor to the front door. preparatory to taking her daily drive, where she could not see them and was unaware of their presence.

At the usual time, a few minutes before one o'clock, Mrs. Eddy came down the long flight of eighteen stairs. She was unaccompanied and unaided in any way during the descent. The ladies of the household remainded on the first floor, and Mr. Frye and Mr. Strang, her secretary and assistant secretary, stood at the bottom of the stairs.
