Christian Science came to my relief about six years ago, and I wish to give my testimony to what Truth has done for me. About twenty-five years ago my health began to fail and our family physician finally pronounced it a serious lung trouble which I had inherited. He advised my husband to take me West, and this seemed to help me for a while; but finally the disease returned and with it heart trouble. I was confined to my bed most of the time, although my physician worked faithfully for me, but at last he told my husband he was unable to do anything more for me. Two other physicians were then called, and they all advised my going South, which was done, but in a short time I was obliged to call still another physician. Another change of climate was proposed and we started immediately. My children and friends bade me farewell, as they supposed it would be the last time I would see them.

We were compelled to leave California in less than a month, as I was much worse, and we returned home by way of Seattle, where my husband had a sister. When we arrived my condition was most serious. The dear sister asked me at once if I would let Christian Science heal me. I replied that I was willing. My husband and I were members of an orthodox church, but like Thomas he wanted a sign. He said if I was healed he would investigate Christian Science. In dive days I was entirely healed of the lung trouble, and in a short time the heart trouble disappeared. The practitioner advised me to get "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, which I did, and earnestly studied it. In six months every manifestation of disease had gone.

My husband and I returned to Oklahoma and among the first to greet me were my physicians. They had heard that I was healed, but could not believe it until they had seen me. We remained there three months and the climate had no ill effect on me. I can now run up and down stairs, do all my own work, and am in perfect health. My husband and myself are members of The Mother Church.
