The study of Christian Science has enabled me to overcome...
The study of Christian Science has enabled me to overcome sorrow and many ailments, and partially overcome extreme nervousness and fear. Last spring my brother-in-law came to visit us, and one evening, as he sat talking to my mother, I left the room for a few minutes, when my mother called to me in a frightened way. I ran in quickly and saw my brother-in-law lying on the floor unconscious, his face almost black. I spoke aloud, as much to myself as to her, saying, "There is nothing to fear," and in an instant he showed signs of consciousness. I then declared the truth silently, and he sat up. The next morning he was as well as usual and rode fourteen miles to attend to some business. This seemed wonderful, as he had experienced a number of such attacks before, and once while under the doctor's care had not left his bed for nearly two weeks.
To God, the only good. I am grateful for the gift of His love, so beautifully expressed through the prophets and apostles of old, and through Christ Jesus, by whose teaching later generations were benefited; then through Mrs. Eddy, who stands before the whole world to uphold the Cause of Truth.—Stella Ralston, Choteau, Mont.
