It is with a heart full of love to God, and to our dear...
It is with a heart full of love to God, and to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, that I gratefully offer my testimony. I did not accept Christian Science for the healing alone, but for the spiritual uplifting, and the mental work thus involved had given me a sound foundation upon which to build. The conviction abides that this teaching is thoroughly in accord with reason and common sense, and has Scriptural authority. Life has for me a grander outlook, a nobler aim. Christian Science has several times snatched me from what seemed the very edge of the grave. A few years ago I was suddenly overtaken with illness, and tried to overcome it with my own understanding, but being very near unconsciousness the friend waiting upon me called an older student to aid me. In a very short time I was able to be out of doors. Later I had a severe attack with my eyes, from two o'clock in the afternoon until about eleven at night. I very nearly screamed with pain. A practitioner was asked to help me. I went to bed that night and soon went to sleep, had a good night's rest, and the next morning got up with my eyesight restored. I then went away for Christian Science treatment for another ailment, and in less than a week I returned healed.
It is only as I reflect infinite Love that I can ever pay the debt I owe to Him "who forgiveth all thine iniquities: who health all thy disease." I most humbly thank God for all His blessings to me and my dear ones.
Mrs. Lillian A. Niemann, Milwaukee. Wis.
