Words cannot express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me. It is nearly eighteen months since I first heard of it. At that time I was in a very weak and critical state, suffering from a spinal complaint which I had had for well-nigh fifteen years. I had tried nearly every remedy that materia medica could suggest, but all to no purpose. The pain in my back and head was most acute, and I never knew what it was to have a night's rest; the pain was always there. When Christian Science was mentioned to me I was most anxious to try it, as a doctor recommended it to me. I sent to Manchester, and asked a practitioner to come to me. After the first treatment I felt much better, and slept all night, a thing I had not done for years. In less than a week I was healed, and was able to walk a distance of four miles to attend the Christian Science testimony meeting in Manchester, without feeling the least bit tired. For nearly four years before that time I had always had to be taken out in a bath chair. I feel very thankful to God for this manifestation of His love, and to Mrs. Eddy for the understanding of this truth which we know will make us all free.
