Christian Science was presented to me about five years ago. I then told my husband what my intention was,—that if I lived till morning I would see a Christian Science practitioner. He replied that it was all right, as I had taken so much medicine without help. When I was told that in Christian Science it is Christ, Truth, that heals, I gladly accepted it without a doubt. I was ready to give it a trial, having been a constant sufferer, knowing no method of cure except drugs and tonics, my husband being a druggist. After I began with Christian Science my husband would look at me in astonishment, seeing the change I was going through. Some of my ailments yielded slowly, but surely, and I have not taken one drop of medicine since. I was a member of an orthodox church for many years and for twenty years a teacher in its Sunday School. I prayed beseechingly that God would open my eyes, and surely He has delivered me from the bondage of sense, for Truth has not only enabled me to help myself but others. My daily prayer is for more of the truth.

It is with sincere gratitude to God, and to our beloved Mrs. Eddy, that I write this.
