Last New Year's eve I retired without any evidence of an ailment that wakened me before morning. About one o'clock I was suffering severe pain, and after declaring the truth for four hours, as I understood it, I caed on a practitioner for help. Relief came almost instantly. At two o'clock, Sunday afternoon, I was up and dressed and partook of a New Year dinner. On Monday I went to the office, did considerable work, and felt no signs of the struggle except a sense of weakness. I will say that before taking up Christian Science I had a similar experience with altogether different results. Then I had medical treatment and was confined to my bed for one week.

I was also healed in Christian Science of the tobacco habit of many years' standing, and have been able to lay aside glasses, after wearing them for seven years, besides being healed of many smaller ailments.

I thank God for the understanding I have of Christian Science, and I hope to demonstrate my gratitude to Mrs. Eddy by living a Christian life.
