I wish to tell how I came into the light of Christian Science
I wish to tell how I came into the light of Christian Science. I had a stroke of paralysis in May, 1903, and could not walk one step, or help myself at all. I had to cared for just like a baby. We tried doctors here, and others that did not live here, and husband carried me to Dallas to be treated, but all the doctors failed. One Sunday, a friend said to me, "Why don't you try Christian Science?" I said to her, "I haven't any faith in it." She said, "Do try it for my sake, for I have a great deal of faith in it; I was treated by a Christian Scientist." Christian Scientist." She also said, ''I'll tell her about you, and ask her if she thinks that she can do you any good." The next week I got so I could work my toes, something I had not done for quite a while. Then my mother was anxious for me to go and see the practitioner. When I first went to her, she had to come out to the buggy to treat me.
I had given up hopes of ever getting well again, but now I am well and strong, and I can do my housework and care for baby as mother should. Just think! I had not walked in twelve months. May God bless my helper.
