Among the Churches

A Working Sunday School.

The children of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Sunday School, Appleton, Wis., have donated to the city public library, a copy of Science and Health, and one year's subscription to the Sentinel, and received from the librarian a kindly letter of thanks, accepting the same.

True Fraternity in Humboldt, Ia.

We are pleased to learn that at the dedication of the new congregational church last month, the Christian Science Society was invited to join with the other churches in a union service, with these words from the minister, "I want the whole body of Christ."

Church Union in Philadelphia, Pa.

In the spirit of love and unity, Second Church of Christ, Scientist, West Philadelphia, has disorganized, and its members have united with First Church.

This step has been joyfully taken, knowing that we shall continue to see good fruits from the seed which has been sown in the past. We gratefully give thanks to God for many blessings which have come to us, and earnestly pray that we may so follow the guidance of our beloved Leader that we may more fully realize that Mind "which was also in Christ Jesus."

A Letter from Paris, France.

Dear Editor:— About three years ago I was informed that those who were attending to the spiritual wants of the members of the American Girl's Club of Paris, did not allow Christian Science literature on the tables of their reading room. Wishing that at least the Sentinel might be found in the reading room of our American Art Association (Men's Club), I wrote the following letter to the chairman of our library committee, who is the Rector of St. Luke's Chapel, and was formerly at the head of the library committee of the aforesaid American Girl's Club. and his kind reply is submitted here as evidence of the growth of, and kindly feeling for. the Cause of Christian Science in Paris.

To the Rev. Isaac Van Winkle, Chairman Library Committee American Art (Artists) Association of Paris.

Dear Sir:— If the Library Committee will furnish a cover, like those on other periodicals in our reading room, with title of periodical thereon, I will be glad to donate to the Club for an indefinite period, the Christian Science Sentinel. the official weekly paper of the Chnrch of Christ, Scientist, of Boston, Mass.

Fraternally yours,
Thomas R. Congdon.

I am in receipt of the following reply.

125 B'd Mont Parnasse, June 16, 1904. Dear Mr. Congdon:— Your very kind offer to present to the Club the Christian Science Sentinel has been received, and in reply I beg to say that the Committee accept your offer with thanks for the gift itself and also for the interest in the Club that it evidences.

The cover will be ordered and will soon be ready.

Believe me, yours very faithfully,
I. Van Winkle.

A copy of Science and Health is in the library of the Men's Club (American Art Association), and several of the artists attend our Sunday services. By the way. our new rooms are crowded, many are obliged to stand in the hallway

In Truth I am sincerely.
