Christian Science healed me after everything else had failed. For years I had been a hothouse plant, requiring constant and tender care. I was never free from pain, and was often confined to bed. In addition to the physical difficulties, I had settled into a condition of melancholia. I had every kind of treatment,—medical, surgical, and the so-called rest-cure; and my latter state was worse than the first.

I then turned to Christian Science, and though the healing was seemingly slow and my faith often put to severe tests, "I know whom I have believed."

I am to-day a working Christian Scientist, and I realize more and more that "Whatever it is your duty to do, can be done without harm to yourself" (Science and Health, p. 385). I am striving daily, hourly, to make my life an expression of gratitude to our dear Leader.
