I am very thankful for my knowledge of Christian Science...
I am very thankful for my knowledge of Christian Science. Before I knew of this new, yet old, truth I was continually taking medicine and continually losing time from business, and previously from school, on account of sickness.
I cannot remember a winter during which I was not in bed for from one to four weeks with what the doctors called tonsilitis. Soon after becoming interested in Science, the usual seige commenced; this time I called for help from a Christian Scientist, had two treatments, and got up well. That was six years ago, and I have had no return of that trouble.
I was also healed of indigestion which was very troublesome, and for which I was taking medicine and dieting under a doctor's orders. I had hay fever every year and chronic catarrh, the latter producing severe headaches, for which I had tries patent medicines, physicians, and even had the passages in my head forced open, but without any lasting benefit. Of all these ailments and many more which might seem small, I am now entirely free, and all through Christian Science. I have been for three years in the business I am at present engaged in, without losing a single day on account of illness. While I am grateful for all this, to me the greater blessing is my better understanding of my relation to God and to my brother man, which I have learned through the teaching of Science and Health.
