I was healed of many complaints, including heart failure, lung trouble, and other ills too numerous to mention. I was sick more or less all my life, always taking medicine, till Christian Science found me in despair. I was healed in less than twenty-four hours of the lung trouble and heart failure.

I have studied Christian Science now more than six years. I could never do without the Journal and Sentinel, they are such a help and encouragement to me. I have made many demonstrations over such ailments as headache, toothache, cholera morbus, and lockjaw. The best demonstration I made alone was over a burned hand. Late one evening I scalded my hand very badly and it was very red on the back. My first thought was to put it in coal oil quickly; the next moment I said, "No, if the Almighty does not help I will have a terrible hand and be scarred for life." So I got my Journal and read and treated the best that I knew. It pained very much at first. It seemed an hour, but it was not more than that time till all pain was gone and I went to bed without even bandaging my hand. It was a little stiff the next day, but was never a bit sore, and no scar at all, and it was well the following day. I was happy over this proof of the allness of God, good, and how thankful I feel to read Mrs. Eddy's book. The Bible is a new book to read now, for I know that God will help those who trust Him faithfully.
