The Day of the Lord

The very important truth has come to this age that every department of life has a scientific basis, and that every question has therefore its scientific solution. The first sign of any new revelation of this all-inclusive Science, has ever been healing. The prophets and Jesus and his disciples healed the sick, and Christian Science has come to the most of us in this most helpful way. Any one who has experienced the blessing of physical relief, which attends the disappearance of pain and disease, knows something of what Christian Science is.

As a sample of goods must contain all the qualities of those goods, but is only a small portion of their quantity, so in Christian Science the healing brings the happiness and inspiration of truth—its newness of life; but the infinitude of Truth can never be fully known by mortals. This infinite Truth is being unfolded to mortals through the inspired teachings of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" and the wise and loving leadership of its author, Mary Baker G. Eddy.

In religion, deep theological questions, such as predestination, free will, atonement, eternal punishment, baptism, the efficacy of prayer, etc., have been solved to the entire satisfaction of many thousands. Unscientific beliefs on these vital points have resulted in wars, persecution, insanity, sickness, and death; but these mortal errors and miseries are now yielding to the loving logic of Christian Science.
