Negative and Positive

Negative and positive are to be found side by side in every branch of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, and this tree, by contrast with the Tree of Life, may be termed its negative.

Evil is the negative of Good, death of Life, sickness of health, and matter of Mind. Although we deny the reality of evil there is a seeming false claim to the existence of it which we are learning to disprove through Christian Science.

Heretofore the devil or mortal mind seems to have employed us to perpetuate and build up his false kingdom through our credulity in the evidence of the physical senses. We now through the help of Christian Science are learning to reverse this operation and compel the devil, or mortal mind, to destroy its own deceptions, and thus destroy itself.
