Meeting of the First Members
The annual meeting of the First Members of the Mother Church was held in the church edifice, Saturday morning, June 14, at nine o'clock. The following message was sent to the Rev. Mary Baker G. Eddy:—
Message from the First Members to the Rev. Mary Baker Eddy, Pastor Emeritus, June 14, 1902.
Beloved Leader, Teacher, and Mother:—Our hearts are full of gratitude to God, and of rejoicing with you, because of the auspicious outlook that is before the Christian Science movement in this morning of the new century. We congratulate you upon the world-wide expansion; upon its effect in destroying race and national antipathies, and in developing true brotherliness. We rejoice in these results which approve your wise leadership, and we are happy because of the love which is everywhere springing up in recognition of your service to mankind. We congratulate you that in the courts of law and legislative halls, your righteous Cause has been vindicated and upheld.
