The Better Part

Charlotte (Mich.) Leader

I was much interested in your editorial of last week, "The Better Part," in which was brought out the difference between the persons living in the material sense of things, controlled only by the desires and aspirations of this material life; and those striving for an understanding of the spiritual life with its absolute realities.

That this last realization must came to us one and all, sooner or later, is certain; but unless we begin our problem of life as spiritual on this plane we shall be ill-prepared for its later unfoldment.

The continued restlessness of tired humanity, seeking and striving for a sense of rest and peace which seems so far away, shows but too plainly how the deception of mortal existence, its pleasures and beliefs, but pall on the senses. To those whose dear ones have passed on, the question is ever recurring, "What is spiritual life?"
