In picking up the Journal with a desire, though unexpressed,...
In picking up the Journal with a desire, though unexpressed, for help, I read a few lines, when my eye lit upon the word Creator, and the thought came, Why, if God is my Creator, my Father and Mother, what have I to fear or dread? This thought followed quickly upon the first: If I were the child of very influential, powerful, and wealthy parents, who were to me always kind and loving and thoughtful, they, without a doubt, would have given me every advantage and would always have looked after my welfare. They would have supplied all my needs when called upon to do so, and even before. Being ever ready to help me, they would have seen that nothing could occur to make me unhappy, would have decided and judged for me unselfishly and wisely when called upon. Freely and gladly would they have arranged harmoniously the details of my life, so that I might always be at ease, peaceful, and happy. Guarding me, to the best of their loving ability, against danger or accident, deception or grief, so that in any case or at any time I should know where to go for help, advice, and counsel, tender care and love. If, then, my only Father and Mother is God, who is all power, all intelligence, all love, all good, and present at all times and places, what can I fear or dread? For God's power and love are infinite, for God is Power and Love. Thus I have a Father caring for me constantly and never leaving me, one that I can depend upon under every adverse circumstance; in fact, there is no adverse circumstance in His presence, and He is always present; so if I am obedient to my Father-Mother God, recognizing the ever-presence of Him who is infinite Intelligence and infinite Love, I cannot suffer, for suffering could not come to me through obedience to infinite Intelligence, or Love. "Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven," and we are all His little children.—Mrs. Millie Mosenfelder, Davenport, la.
It is now over six years since we heard of this healing Truth that is revealed in Christian Science. At that time my wife was suffering from sciatica and other ailments that the doctors said were incurable. She was asked to try Christian Science, which she did, and was healed in one treatment.
Later on, I was persuaded to go to First Church, Toronto, and before leaving the auditorium, I took my glasses off, and have never needed them since, for my eyes were healed instantaneously.
