In reply to Jesus' question, "What will ye that I shall do unto you?" the two blind men said, "Lord, that our eyes may be opened." So we pray that we may have the spiritual understanding that will unfold to us the Truth. With this prayer in our hearts, we cannot but be grateful for the spiritual food which Christian Science brings to our hungry lives.
It is this gratitude which prompts me to write these words. In the Gospel of Matthew we read, "He that is able to receive it, let him receive it." That little word let, has followed me from the beginning of my study of Christian Science, eight months ago.
Science and Health came into my hands through no chance. I bought it to investigate its contents. Having been a student all my life I read thoughtfully, and with a sincere desire to comprehend its meaning. This willingness to let the Truth shine into my life and home, brought with it a most helpful willingness to let Truth unfold itself, and not to puzzle over seeming obstructions to clear understanding.
