In Regard to Clippings

Clippings from newspapers and other periodicals, suitable for publication in the Sentinel, are always acceptable, especially those that relate to the growth and progress of our cause throughout the Field. Articles which give a clear and concise statement of what we believe and practise, such as will meet the need of an inquiring public that desires to know the truth about Christian Science, are also desirable.

We request those who send us clippings to be sure that they give the name and date of the periodical from which they are taken. We sometimes receive excellent articles which we are unable to use, because we do not know the paper or other publication to which credit should be given. It is also desirable that we know from whom the clippings are received.

We especially request that those who send us clippings take pains to ascertain if all statements made are in strict accord with the facts in the case. Science is exact, and we cannot be too careful in giving honest, conscientious attention even to the little things of our work. It has been wisely said that "Trifles make perfection, but perfection is no trifle."
