Found the True Way in Christian Science

Christian Science has made me a new woman. When I caught the first glimpse of Light I was sick, discouraged, and longing for death. Leading physicians of St. Louis said, about that time, that there was not a sound organ in my body, and it was only an unusual amount of grit that kept me alive. But it was not my own physical condition that caused me so much anguish, but the more distressing illness of my husband, and the lack of means to procure the comforts so necessary to an invalid.

After getting "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" from the library, I do not remember anything more of my inharmonious body; and from the first talk with a leading Scientist in St. Louis, I never doubted that I had found the true way. It was many months, however, before the manifestation of health was visible, but I knew that I was well, and now—two and a half years later—I am a marvel to those who know me, for my daily life is full of unusually laborious tasks, and yet I am always able to perform them cheerfully; and I manifest health in plumpness, color, and youthful appearance.

But, as all dear Scientists know, the physical blessings are nothing compared to the earnest longing and striving to rise daily into a more spiritual consciousness of Life and its demands.
