Casting Bread

The article "Sowing Beside all Waters" by M. A. T., in our Sentinel of February 15, recalled a little incident in my own experience, and it may prove encouraging to some students who have endeavored to awaken a friend out of this dream of sense, and apparently failed.

Myself and whole family having been the recipients of numerous blessings, including the physical healing and the spiritual awakening which the teachings of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" inevitably bring to honest seekers for Truth, I was filled with the desire that all my friends might be partakers of my joy. With the eagerness born of a heart overflowing with gratitude and love, I endeavored to spread this "Gospel of Peace" to such as seemed to need it.

Among these was a fellow-worker in my old church. A congenial friendship had sprung up which was fostered by meeting frequently in our church circles and societies. These gave me the desired opportunity to talk with her on Christian Science, for I felt convinced she would be ready to receive this new teaching, or at least accept it for healing.
