Gratitude for the Printed Lectures

I want to express my gratitude for the privilege of reading the printed lectures as they are given to us from time to time through the press. They always help me in some way, either mentally or physically. They have also helped me to gain clearer ideas of the practical application of Christian Science to meet the needs of every-day living.

While reading the lecture Mr. Kimball delivered in Tremont Temple, I was lifted above a seemingly darkened thought. Then the thought came to me that as the result of demonstration those lectures are written, delivered, and printed, and will surely bear fruit, for, "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."

We hear a great deal these days about testing seeds to find out if they are true, free from weeds, and that they will produce plants. It's a pretty good thing. But it is better to test our words before planting them. Are they good, pure, true; will they produce well?"—Farm Journal.
