From a Business Man
I was attracted to Christian Science about four years ago, on account of its religious phase, but have since had the most practical proofs of its healing efficacy. First, in relief, after a few treatments, from a severe case of deafness. Second, the tobacco habit (smoking) left me, with no effort or sacrifice on my part, although it had been a daily companion since my boyhood. (I now have grandchildren who are young Scientists.) Third, I have not used glasses for the past year for any purpose, while for the previous twenty years I depended on them for all reading and writing. I have also been relieved from a tendency to insomnia and now sleep like a child, although requiring less sleep than ever before. Science keeps me from getting tired and seems to roll back the wheels of time.
As an active business man I find it an ever-present and every-day help in all the activities of life, and I am deeply grateful to the Mother for her presentation of Christian Science to this age.—James Van Inwagen, Chicago, Ill.
