Notable Improvements

Some very notable improvements are being made in the vicinity of the Mother Church and Publishing House. The new Music Hall building occupies a large area of ground fronting Massachusetts Avenue and extending from Huntington Avenue northerly to St. Stephen Street. This elegant and massive structure is now well along toward completion, and, when completed, will add greatly to the beauty of the section it adorns.

It is now announced that plans and specifications have been prepared and placed on exhibition for the construction of a large and substantial building by the Massachusetts Horticultural Society at the corner of Huntington and Massachusetts Avenues, extending from Huntington Avenue along Massachusetts Avenue to Falmouth Street, a distance of 210 feet, while it will have a frontage of 94 feet on Huntington Avenue and Falmouth Street respectively.

The most important feature of this building will be the main exhibition hall; it will be at the rear of the Massachusetts Avenue front, opening onto Falmouth Street. Its dimensions will be 122 by 50 feet on the ground, and 43 feet in height.
