Testimony of Local Scientists

Sheboygan (Wis.) Telegram

The regular mid-week meeting at the First Church of Christ, Scientist, was well attended, about two hundred being present. The assembly was composed of intelligent-looking people, mainly from the middle class, and every face seemed beaming with happiness.

The First Reader announced that the meeting was in the hands of the congregation, and she hoped the time would be well filled.

She had hardly seated herself when a lady, a member of the church, arose and said that in reading over the Christian Science Sentinel of March 1. she was impressed by an article entitled, "A Little Child's Faith," and knowing there were some present who do not take the periodical, she would read it. In a clear, calm voice she read, much to the surprise of some of her friends, for a few years ago she was unable to read the English language, being German, and now the foreign accent was hardly noticeable.
