Found Peace and Happiness
I did not come into Christian Science for healing of sickness but to find God. For years I had been in a state of unrest and searched from one thing to another for satisfaction. I felt the need of something outside myself, and after many devious paths had been followed, I at last found Christian Science and knew it to be what I had been searching for. I found far more than I ever dreamed of. Through the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" and class teaching by a faithful student, peace and calm have taken the place of unrest, discontent, worry, and anxiety; harmony instead of discord, happiness in place of unhappiness, and good thoughts have destroyed evil thoughts in consciousness. Now in place of an inharmonious body, I have a harmonious one, which seldom troubles me. All this is due to the destruction of evil thoughts. It is so wonderful and so blessed to understand there is but One Mind.
Of the physical healing which has come through the understanding of Christian Science I will speak of sick headaches, to which I had been a victim ever since I can remember. They were of violent form and frequent occurrence, sometimes as often as two in one week. I could never plan to go to any place or do anything but one of these headaches put in an appearance. They disappeared long ago, and I am now free to go and do as I desire without any fear in that direction.
The fear of storms, which had been a terror to me since childhood, has been destroyed. Now there is no fear, for the Ninety-first Psalm sustains me.
